Tatarstan is transitioning government institutions to the domestic VK WorkSpace mail system from VK Tech. In the first phase, more than 10,000 employees of the Ministry of Digitalization, Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Ecology, Ministry of Economy and other agencies have been connected to the system. All government institutions of the republic will migrate to VK WorkSpace.

The project is coordinated by Digital Transformation Centre of Tatarstan (a state government institution under the Ministry of Digitalization of the republic), which is responsible for the digitalization of the republic's services, developing new digital products and supporting more than 70 information systems. The specialists' primary task was to migrate tens of thousands of work accounts without losing important data or interrupting the daily workflows of the ministries.

Starting from August 1, four major mobile operators — MegaFon, Beeline, T2 and MTS — will provide subscribers with unlimited access to the national Max messenger. Usage of the platform will no longer consume data from tariff plan packages while the user is on the home network.

The national Max messenger has launched a story-posting feature for Android smartphone users. To use the new feature, it is necessary to update the app to the latest version on RuStore.

The stories section is located at the top of the screen in the "Chats" tab. Users can post photos and videos by tapping the plus icon next to their profile photo. Post authors have access to statistics: a counter shows the number of views and reactions, while a timer counts down until the story is automatically deleted.

Criminals have begun calling citizens introducing technical support staff from internet service providers. The fraudsters inform users that their home internet tariff is outdated and that they need to renew their contract or confirm the installation address of their equipment.

After this, the fraudsters ask the individual to provide an SMS code, which grants access to the personal account on the operator's website or to the account on the State Services Portal (Gosuslugi). Please note that telecom operators never request SMS codes for customer verification.

The Ministry of Health of Tatarstan has become one of the most sought-after employers in Russia offering targeted training through the "Admission to University Online" service on the State Services Portal (Gosuslugi).

Tatarstan has begun the second phase of developing the Unified Information System (UIS) "Property." At this stage, subsystems for managing financial relations and claims work will be created, and the user personal account will be modernized. The project, launched on the initiative of Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, is being implemented jointly with the Ministry of Land and Property Relations and the Ministry of Digital Development of the republic.

TGC-16, one of Russia's largest power generating companies has deployed an MTS AI assistant in its procurement operations. The solution helps the company's procurement department rapidly analyze commercial offers from potential contractors and suppliers, assess their compliance with the customer's request and verify price justification. As a result, offer analysis accuracy stands at no less than 95%, while application processing time has been reduced several times over.

Graduates from Tatarstan have just over one week left to submit documents for higher education programmes in artificial intelligence specialist training (TOP-AI). Applicants have access to 65 educational tracks at 22 leading universities across 13 regions of Russia. Last year, more than 4,500 students enrolled in the first year of these programmes.

First Deputy Minister of Digitalization of Tatarstan Albert Yakovlev provided a detailed briefing at a press conference on how to protect oneself and loved ones from fraudulent activities.

According to the Tatarstan Prosecutor's Office, during the first six months of 2026, the number of cybercrimes in the republic decreased by 43% — to 8,400 cases compared to the same period last year. The decline in crime rates is attributed to the implementation of digital security mechanisms.
