At their summing up meeting, Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization discussed the results of the work of the IT industry and outlined key development priorities. Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvin emphasized the implementation of the artificial intelligence programme, IT workforce development, systematic network coverage expansion, digitalization of industries and support for rural postmen.

Urent kicksharing service is launching a pilot test of a new age verification method for renting electric scooters using the Digital ID in the MAX messenger. Kazan has become one of the first regions where the company has implemented this feature.

Age verification is available to users who have a Digital ID set up in the MAX messenger. This identifier can be issued to citizens over 18 years of age.

Aleksey Klontsak has been appointed Deputy Minister of Digitalization of Tatarstan. In this post, he will oversee the implementation of IT technologies in government bodies, the development of state and municipal services and the implementation of digital transformation projects.

This appointment represents a serious challenge and a great responsibility for me. I would like to express my special gratitude to my colleagues at the Digital Transformation Centre. 

On July 14, under the summing up meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization, an exhibition of advanced IT projects is being held. It features 14 developments covering the areas of public administration, ecology, agriculture, robotics and security.

All exhibition stands are open to visitors: any attendee can explore the projects, see the solutions in action and ask questions directly to the developers.

On July 13, speaking at a weekly meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization, where the results of the second year of implementing the development programme "Integrated Aviation Engineering" were reviewed, Director of the Advanced Engineering School of Kazan National Research Technical University named after A. N. Tupolev – KAI Leonid Shabalin said that over the past year the school has developed 54 new educational programmes for higher and additional professional education.

Tatarstan continues its project on digitalization utility networks: in 2026, work is underway in the Kama Agglomeration area. Digital accounting of communal infrastructure is being launched in Yelabuga, Nizhnekamsk, Tukay, Menzelinsk, Mendeleevsk regions, as well as in Chistopol. In 2025, as many as 26,000 kilometers of utility networks were digitized. This year, an additional 19,000 kilometers are planned to be digitized.

The project is being carried out by specialists from the Institute of Spatial Planning as part of the regional programme "Breakthrough IT Solutions." The goal is to establish a unified system for managing Tatarstan's utility infrastructure. By 2029, all utility networks in the republic are expected to be converted to digital format.

It was the postal service that laid the foundation for the development of the entire modern communications industry. It all began with mail troikas that connected people across vast distances. The first postal roads appeared in 1735 in Kazan Governorate, carrying government decrees and dispatches. In 1866, city mail was established in Kazan with 13 mailboxes installed in busy locations across the city where residents could drop letters bearing special city stamps.

The second module of the educational programme "Personnel for the economy of the future" was completed at the Kazan campus of "School 21."

From July 7 to 10, 110 senior executives from across the country responsible for personnel development in the economy and social sector were mastering multi-agent AI system technologies.

Participants developed AI solutions for the public sector, ready for real pilot implementation in the regions. All tested tools will be added to the library of best practices that can be applied across various regions of the country.

The Bashir Rameev IT Park in Kazan hosted another open lecture of the "Scientific Code: Summer Lectures". A technology entrepreneur and advisor to the Chairman of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan on AI implementation Bulat Ganiev provided a detailed presentation on how human nature is changing in the era of strong artificial intelligence development. These scientific discussions are held weekly under the regional project “Summer in Tatarstan” at the IT Park, free of charge for all.

The admissions campaign for higher education institutions has been underway in Russia for two and a half weeks. During this time, applicants have submitted over 2.3 million applications through the "Admission to university online" service on the State Services Portal.

Submitting applications online has become the most convenient option for applicants, which allows users to monitor the entire process from programme selection to submitting consent for enrollment. Applicants submit over 5,000 online applications every hour.
