Graduates from Tatarstan can apply to AI specialist training programmes until July 25
Graduates from Tatarstan have just over one week left to submit documents for higher education programmes in artificial intelligence specialist training (TOP-AI). Applicants have access to 65 educational tracks at 22 leading universities across 13 regions of Russia. Last year, more than 4,500 students enrolled in the first year of these programmes.
The training is structured across three levels:
DS — training engineers who build applied AI systems and fine-tune existing models.
Top-DS — training applied researchers and developers of new AI solutions.
Top-DS* — training researchers capable of discovering new knowledge in AI and related fields.
During their studies, students work on real-world cases from industrial partners and complete internships at major companies, including Yandex, Rostelecom, Sberbank and Gazprom Neft.
Information on admission requirements, university comparisons, and remote document submission is available via the link through the State Services Portal (Gosuslugi).
In parallel, AI workforce training is being actively developed in Tatarstan. Starting this September, AI specialist training will begin at the International Center of Competences — Kazan College of Information Technologies and Communications. Additionally, as part of the regional AI development programme, the grant program "Algarysh in the Field of Artificial Intelligence" has been established, enabling bachelor's graduates to study in master's programmes at foreign educational institutions. Upon receiving their diplomas, graduates will return to Tatarstan and work in their field for at least three years.
