A solemn ceremony of awarding scholarships to students of the Kazan communication technical school was held today. First Deputy Minister of informatization and communications Yuri Bagrov, Director of the Kazan communication technical school Natalya Kitaeva, chiefs of communication companies and Director of IT University Innopolis Dmitry Kondratiev were present at the ceremony.

First high technology park in Russia opened three years ago. Since then, the Kazan IT-park has become the leading IT center in Russia. The task faced by the Russian and Tatarstan leadership to reach the self-financing level was fulfilled in 2011 when the total revenue of 64 residents made 2,9 bln roubles.

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov discussed the project of establishing IT University on the territory of innovation satellite city “Innopolis” with officials of Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, USA).The meeting was held at the RT Government House with participation of Deputy PM and Minister of informatization and communications Roman Shaikhutdinov, Minister of education and science Engel Fattakhov, Aide to the Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov. The Carnegie Mellon University was presented by Director for charity issues Michael Steiner, Director for information technologies of iCarnegie Michael Hemi and administrative director of IT University “Innopolis” Dmitry Kondratiev.

The ceremony of awarding teachers of the republican contest “IT teacher 2012” was held at the Kazan IT-park. First Minister of informatization and communications Yuri Bagrov, CEO of the Center of information technologies Tatyana Kamaletdinova, Deputy Director of the Sate Autonomous Institution “High technology technopark IT-park” Iskander Dinislamov, Deputy Director of the higher school of information technology and information systems (ITIS) Irina Maksimova, and Chief of the Department for information technologies development of the RT Ministry of education and science Nadezhda Sulimova congratulated best Tatarstan teachers.
