Tatarstan Minister of informatization and communications meets with chief federal inspector on RT

Chief federal inspector on the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Idrisov and Deputy PM and Minister of informatization and communications Roman Shaikhutdinov held a working meeting.
They discussed issues of IT industry development in the region. Roman Shaikhutdinov noted that in this sphere republic is among five leading regions in Russia.
“A large amount of work has been done within the framework of the project “Open Government”. Tatarstan citizens extensively use opportunities offered on the portal of state services. Much attention is paid to preparation for Universiade 2013 and execution of the federal legislation in the context of protection of personal data,” Vice-premier said.
Construction of innovation city “Innopolis” were also discussed at the meeting. According to preliminary estimates, Innopolis will attract 100-120 bln roubles of investments to Tatarstan. The innovative city will be located in a picturesque place near Kazan. It will be provided with necessary utilities and modern infrastructure.
The city will occupy the area of 1200 hectares. 155 thousand people including 60 thousand IT specialists will live on its territory.
On December 11, Moscow hosted this year's important IT events: the awards ceremony for the winners of the "Sprint to the Future - Code of Success!" award and the Sprint 2.0 Accelerator Demo Day.
In accordance with the Procedure for providing subsidies from the budget of Tatarstan in 2025 to telecom operators to reimburse costs associated with providing mobile radiotelephone services on sections of the M-12 and M-7 highways located in Tatarstan, approved by Resolution No. 1032 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan dated 02.12.2025 (hereinafter referred to as the Procedure) and Order No. p/334 of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications dated 10.12.2025, the deadlines for submitting applications for subsidies from the budget of the republic have been established.
Digital Transformation Centre of Tatarstan reported that in 2025, Tatarstan completed a digital infrastructure upgrade, which affected server capacity, government employee workplaces, email services and video surveillance.
