Tatarstan residents have increased their phone communication by one-third. According to MegaFon, in March 2025, the average person talked on the phone for 4 hours and 49 minutes per month. This year, the average call time has risen to 6 hours and 20 minutes.

Moreover, urban residents of the republic communicate more frequently than rural one. On average, city dwellers spend 6 hours and 41 minutes per month on calls, while villagers spend 6 hours and 19 minutes. Among cities, the leaders are Nurlat, Bolgar and Buinsk; among villages, the top are Novye Tinchali in the Buinsk region, Shlanga and Stary Kakerli in the Drozhzhanovsky region.

The most popular interlocutors for residents of Tatarstan are people from the Samara Region, Moscow, Bashkortostan, Ulyanovsk Region and Chuvashia. International sides are Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Belarus and the UAE ranked highest in 2026.

"We see how diverse the communication scenarios are within the republic. To ensure that each subscriber—whether in Nurlat or small villages like Shlanga—receives exactly the services that are useful to them, we use our own platform with integrated neural network technology," Director of MegaFon in Tatarstan Valery Borunov said.
