The 8th selection round for business incubator of the Kazan IT-park has finished. 50 startup teams from 10 Russian cities – Almetievsk, Birsk, Yoshkar-Ola, Kazan, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Orenburg, St.Petersburg, Ulyanovsk and Ufa struggled for the right to become residents of business incubator of the best technopark in the country.

Five months have passed since the Information system of the Republic of Tatarstan “People’s control” was launched. During this period 3 000 requests supported by 47 880 users have been sent to the system. Such information was given by the Tatarstan Minister of informatization and communications Roman Shaikhutdinov at a meeting at the RT Cabinet.

The Centre of information technologies of the Republic of Tatarstan has been awarded with Grand Prix Diploma of the II specialized exhibition “GEO-KAZAN: geological exploration. Geodesy, Cartography” as the best project in the sphere of geoinformation systems, geodesy and cartography realized on the basis of GLONASS/GPS, for implementation of the Unified state information system “GLONASS+112” in Tatarstan.
Two months have passed since launching of the system of interdepartmental electronic interaction aimed at minimizing citizens’ visits to different agencies.

617 school buses transporting children from villages to schools are equipped with modern satellite navigation devices GLONASS/GPS with the use of communication channels of OAO “Megafon” and OAO “Mobilnye Telesistemy” in Tatarstan.

Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Republic of Tatarstan and an IT subsidiary of Carnegie Mellon University – iCarnegie in Pittsburgh (USA, Pennsylvania). President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Director of iCarnegie Gil Taran put their signatures on the document.
First pilot package of universal electronic cards will soon be issued to Tatarstaners. They were received by GUP “Center of information technologies” to enter the electronic digital signature. Other cards are being personalized in Tatarstan banks – Ak Bars and Sberbank.

On September 3-5 Tatarstan delegation headed by the President Rustam Minnikhanov will visit Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania, USA), a private university and research center Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).
