On July 13, at the Smena modern culture center, the Higher School of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems of the Kazan Federal University will hold Java Day Kazan, a major IT conference on the Java programming language, which will be held for the eighth time. 

During the first six months of the current year,  Tatarstan citizens made over 6.6 million payment transactions on the Portal of State Services of the republic, as well as in the official mobile application “Services of the Republic of Tatarstan”, which is one million more as compared to the same period last year. 

On July 11, at the city's press center, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov reported on the results of work on providing telecommunications infrastructure for World Cup 2018 in Kazan. Tatarstan Ministry was responsible for providing a permanent and temporary telecommunications infrastructure in the Kazan Arena Stadium, as well as the organization of Wi-Fi network for the main consumers of services.

On July 10, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov paid a working visit to Almetyevsk, to discuss the development of IT technologies in the region.

There are useful e-services for parents of preschool children on the Portal of State Services of the republic, which they can use for applying the queue at a kindergarten, monitor the status of a previously submitted application and after enrolling in a kindergarten, check and pay charges.

Car owners often do not find their vehicle where they left it and this is now quite an ordinary situation, especially in large cities. Wrong parking or violation of traffic rules can result the evacuation of the car to the impoundment lot. Car owners can find out where the vehicle was evacuated on the Portal of State Services of the republic and in the “Services of the Republic of Tatarstan” mobile application.

On July 6, in the Imperial Hall of the Kazan Federal University, a solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to graduates of the Higher School of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems of the Kazan Federal University took place. This is the fourth graduation of the bachelors of the Higher School ITIS and the third one of the Masters

On July 6, at a solemn ceremony, 201 students of the Kazan Technical College of Information Technology and Communications received graduate diplomas and 41 students were awarded diplomas with honors.

Teachers of Tatarstan will receive 17,500 new laptops for the new academic year. The three-year programme of updating the equipment, issued in 2010-2011 under the “Laptop to Teacher" programme, is being completed in 2018.
