On September 4, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communication Roman Shaykhutdinov handed in personal grants from Tatarstan Government for training in the area of information technologies to 50 students of the Higher School of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems of the Kazan Federal University (ITIS KFU). The project of allocation of personal grants from Tatarstan Government to first-year students with high points of the Unified State Examination, which could not pass to the budget department of the IT department of the KFU, is being implemented in Tatarstan since 2011. The initiative was established to support talented students, as well as to retain IT professionals in the region, since the grant requires mutual obligations - the student must work at a company registered in Tatarstan as many years long as he was receiving a grant.
