On September 4, at the Kazanskaya Yarmarka exhibition centre, under Tatarstan Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals Forum – 2018 and the International Specialized Exhibition "GEO-KAZAN: Exploration. Geodesy. Cartography ", a two-day international scientific and practical conference" Topical issues of geodesy and geoinformation systems” has started. The conference gathered over 250 participants from all over Russia. Deputy Prime Minister of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communication Roman Shaykhutdinov took part in the plenary part of the event.

Under the 6th All-Russian Conference of Youth Innovation Creativity Centers, the All-Russian robot technical contest "Agrorobofestival" was held at the Kvantorium children’s technopark in Almetyevsk.

Young engineers and inventors up to 18 years old introduced innovative developments in the automation and robotization of the agro-industrial complex in five areas: Smart Greenhouse, Smart Farm, Smart Garden-Bed, Agrorobot and Quadrocopter.

The 31st selection of start-up projects to the Business Incubator has competed in technopark in the sphere of high technologies "IT Park" in Kazan last weekend. As many as 140 applications were submitted for the participation in the selection, 36 of them were included into the shortlist. They introduced their projects to the experts.

In the first half of the current year, customers placed 23,000 notifications about the procurement in the regional information system "e-shop”. As many as 47,000 contracts with the total amount of 64.8 billion roubles were concluded through the system in the first half of 2018. Total savings amounted to 1.5 billion roubles.

On September 3, at the Ministry of Informatization and Communication of the republic, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov chaired an extended meeting with the industry enterprises, which summed up the results of the work in the first half of 2018.

On September 22-23, 2018, Kazan will host a hackathon Digital SuperHero HackDays for independent development teams from all over Russia. Participants should create prototypes of services that will help companies simplify the work with thousands of employees from branches across the country in 48 hours.

On October 1-2, Kazan will host the World Digital Summit on Internet Technology of Things (IoTWorldSummitRussia), where world leaders in the area of practical application of the advanced digital technologies from Russia, the United States, Europe and Asia will meet and will introduce advanced solutions in the field of IoT and IIoT, M2M communications, large data analysts, artificial intelligence, machine and in-depth training, cybersecurity and blockchain.

On August 29, in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan to the most distinguished Tatarstan citizens.

Deputy Prime-Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov was awarded title of Honored Worker of Informatization and Communication of Tatarstan.
