Nikolai Nikiforov: A month’s campaign for improving quality of communication found a broad response among Tatarstan citizens

RT Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of info and communication Nikolai Nikiforov informed at a press conference in IA “Tatar-inform” that a month’s campaign for improving quality of communication found a broad response among Tatarstan citizens.
We remind that by RT President assignment on January,24,2011 a month’s campaign for improving quality of mobile and radiotelephone communication, cable and TV on-air broadcasting and Internet access was announced in republic. It was then prolonged for one month.
On web-site of RT Ministry of info and communication by the link digital.tatarstan.ru/micmap.htm using interactive map one could find a place where he came across problems connected with quality of communication services, then click a link “Put a mark and send complaint” and fill in the questionnaire. Complaints are also received by telephone (843) 5-114-115.
“The campaign showed paradoxical results – there is no any legal tool to make mobile operators responsible for low-quality communication services”, - Nikolai Nikiforov said. By his words, Administration of Federal anti-monopoly service on RT instituted 18 court examinations upon low-quality communication services. Probably Tatarstan experience will be used on federal level.
Minister noted that all operators reacted to a month’s campaign and corrected their investment programs.

The Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov approved the decision of Tatarstan government to allocate 55.3 million roubles from the regional budget to support 2,300 employees of rural postal offices in 2026.
A new practice tool for preparing for the USE has been launched on the State Services Portal (Gosuslugi)l. It allows students to reinforce their knowledge and practice solving typical exam tasks.
Since September 2024, Tatarstan residents could receive rewards through the "People’s Inspector" app for reporting traffic violations. During this period, over 12,000 reports were submitted across seven paid categories, earning citizens a total of 5.6 million roubles. The top earner was a resident of the republic who submitted 226 reports and received 275,000 roubles. The second-highest earner earned 260,800 roubles for 209 reports.
