Roman Shaikhutdinov visits China with the official delegation of Russian Ministry of Communications and Mass Media

On August 19, during his meeting with Chinese Minister of Industry and Information Miao Wei, Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolay Nikiforov said that Russia is interested in diversification of high-tech equipment supplies. At the same time, Russia counts on more active promotion and use of Russian software in Chinese market.

The Minister noted that the current model of the management of Internet critical resources does not enable national Internet segments functioning autonomously, and an independent international system should be created.

Nikolay Nikiforov and Miao Wei discussed successful results of work of the Subcommission for communication and information technologies of Russia-China Commission for preparation of regular meetings of leaders of governments that was held on July 31, 2014 in Dalian, China.

Head of the ministries also noted the progress in developing common plan of ground-based TV broadcasting in border areas of Russia and China and improvement of postal services between two states.
