3.5 thousand Tatarstan citizens applied for universal electronic cards

The project “Universal Electronic Card” has been implemented in Tatarstan from January, 1, 2013. 3.5 thousand applications have now been received, 2, 000 cards have been issued.
A Universal Electronic Card is a safe and reliable tool that provides access to municipal, state and commercial services. It unites passport data, personal pension account number, policy of obligatory medical insurance, bank application of OAO “Sberbank of Russia” and OAO “Ak Bars Bank”, electronic digital signature, and a special application for paying public transport fares.
The Universal Electronic Card is issued on volunteer basis upon a citizen’s application till December 31, 2014.

In accordance with the Procedure for providing subsidies from the budget of Tatarstan in 2025 to telecom operators to reimburse costs associated with providing mobile radiotelephone services on sections of the M-12 and M-7 highways located in Tatarstan, approved by Resolution No. 1032 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan dated 02.12.2025 (hereinafter referred to as the Procedure) and Order No. p/334 of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications dated 10.12.2025, the deadlines for submitting applications for subsidies from the budget of the republic have been established.
Digital Transformation Centre of Tatarstan reported that in 2025, Tatarstan completed a digital infrastructure upgrade, which affected server capacity, government employee workplaces, email services and video surveillance.
