Delivery robots expand to two additional districts in Kazan

31 March 2026, Tuesday

To date, Yandex delivery robots began operating in the Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan. On December 2025, robot delivery was firstly introduced in the Vakhitovsky district of the city.

The implementation of robot delivery is aimed at making everyday life more comfortable for residents through the use of advanced technology. Users will be able to track the movement of the courier robot on a map directly within the app, ensuring transparency and convenience. Since robots do not require breaks or rest periods, delivery services will operate reliably around the clock.

The delivery robots are currently working at warehouses for Yandex Lavka online order collecting on Fatykh Amirhan Street, Marshal Chuykov Street and the surrounding area of Shurtygina Street. By the end of the year, Yandex plans to expand the number of warehouses equipped with robotic delivery. Additionally, robots will begin handling orders for Food and Delivery services.

In Kazan, the latest fourth-generation robots are being deployed. These are the first company’s robots of mass-producing. Compared to previous versions, these delivery robots offer higher possibility. They are also simpler to manufacture, making them more cost-effective. By the end of 2027, Yandex plans to produce 20,000 fourth-generation robots.

Serial production will enable faster expansion into new cities and reduce the cost of robot delivery. Currently, the cost is comparable to courier delivery and is expected to decrease as the robot fleet expands.

Robot delivery is also available in Innopolis, Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Murino (Leningrad Region). To date, robots have traveled over 2 million kilometers in these cities and completed more than 1 million orders.
