Students of the "Master Max" project, designed for citizens over 55 were awarded at the Children's IT Park. The programme was completed by 150 participants and another 100 people have already started their training. The oldest student is 89.
The "Master Max" course, part of the "University of the Third Age" project, enables elderly people to master modern digital technologies and use them to solve everyday tasks. The programme helps improve digital literacy and communication security and is implemented jointly with the Pensioners' Union with the support of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization and the Ministry of Labor of the republic.
The course consists of six practical lessons. If necessary, each lesson can be repeated to reinforce skills. Participants learned key Max functions such as creating a profile, working with group chats, video calls, managing security settings, sending voice messages and video clips.
“The “Master Max” programme is another step toward making technology accessible to all generations. We are confident that this course will help residents of the republic over 55 confidently use a modern communication tool, as well as open up new opportunities for communication and accessing government services online,” Deputy Minister of Digitalization Bulat Gabdrakhmanov said.
Deputy Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the republic Adel Mubarakshin awarded the programme participants. Students received commemorative souvenirs. In the future, the programme may be expanded to other venues cooperating with the Pensioners' Union.
The “University of the Third Age” is an educational project created for the digital adaptation of the older generation. Every year, about 500 people study computer and smartphone skills and digital services at the IT park under this programme.
