6 March 2026, Friday

MTS company has launched an interactive course titled “Cybersecurity: a guide against scammers”, which is available for Tatarstan residents of any age and is aimed at increasing digital literacy and informing about tools to protect against fraud.

Course consists of 12 thematic modules.

Developers explain in detail how to defend against various types of fraud:

Phishing (fake emails and websites).

Spoofing (fake numbers, accounts, emails).

AI-fakes (synthetically created voice messages, images, videos).

Developers also prepared a final quiz of 12 questions to check the knowledge gained.
According to MTS Protector, in 2025, the number of scam and spam calls decreased by 23% compared to 2024 in Tatarstan. About 70 million calls were blocked.

"Due to the implementation of new technologies, we see a reduction in unwanted calls. However, scammers constantly improve their schemes. The key link in defense remains the person, so it is important to continue learning how to recognize fraud signs," Deputy Minister of Digitalization of Tatarstan  Albert Yakovlev said.

"Everyone, regardless of age or status, needs to regularly refresh their knowledge of digital conduct rules and study scam schemes to stay vigilant and prevent being deceived," MTS director in Tatarstan Marat Kabanov stated.

Self-blocking of loans on the State Services Portal (Gosuslugi) is another important tool. Users can restrict taking loans fully or partially. This measure will help protect against scammers who coerce citizens into taking loans through deception.
