The Ministry of Internal Affairs warns of a new SMS scam about a "cooling-off period" for SIM cards

Scammers are sending SMS messages claiming to have activated a "cooling-off period" for SIM cards belonging to Russian citizens due to their travel abroad. The link in the message leads to a phishing page that requires authorization through a fake page on the State Services Portal.

After clicking the link, the scammers call the victim, claiming their personal account has been hacked, in order to obtain confidential data and force money transfers.
