Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko emphasizes the experience of implementing AI in Tatarstan

27 October 2025, Monday

At the Infotech-2025 forum in Tyumen, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Chief of Staff of Russian Government Dmitry Grigorenko spoke about the importance of artificial intelligence (AI) in the work of regional governments and cited practical examples.

For example, an AI-based system monitors the condition of the urban environment (roads, cleanliness, housing and utilities) in Tatarstan. As a result, streets are cleared 50% faster after snowfalls and road defects are identified in just one hour instead of two days.

"Our goal is to find a balance between encouraging digital leadership and ensuring digital equality among regions. Ready-made federal AI solutions ensure equal access, while digital transformation ratings stimulate regional initiative," Grigorenko noted.

AI services do not replace human work, but rather become assistants for automating routine operations and efficiently processing large amounts of data.
