9 October 2025, Thursday

The forum participants “TIME: Russia - India. Mutual efficiency» discussed the possibility of building a data center with one of the leading Indian operators - CtrlS, which will open new horizons for the development of digital infrastructure of Tatarstan and Russia. Deputy Minister of Digitalization of Tatarstan Bulat Gabdrakhmanov pointed out that the Indian side is interested in meeting three conditions: the cost of electricity, demand and plans to expand into the Russian market. This is still in the discussion phase, but an agreement between the IT-park and the Indo-Russian Chamber of Technological Cooperation (CIRTC) has already been signed.

CIRTC Director Subham Sarkar noted that Russia is strong in cybersecurity and microelectronics, while India boasts demographic and human resources potential. Joint projects will combine the two countries' strengths and create an alternative to Western technological monopolies. Initiatives include programmes for exchanging cybersecurity expertise and developing partnerships between IT companies, as well as plans to strengthen human resources and technological cooperation.
