The 16th International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum-2025", which was truly eventful for Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization.
During the day, a number of business meetings and negotiations were held aimed at expanding international cooperation and promoting advanced digital technologies. One of the key events was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between then"IT Park", the Malaysian company VeecoTech Solutions Sdn.Bhd and GDC Services Company.
The document envisages the joint development and implementation of advanced solutions in the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and cloud technologies, as well as the exchange of market analytics, knowledge of technological trends and investment opportunities. This is an important step in promoting Tatarstan as an international digital hub.
The Minister of Digitalization of Tatarstan Ayrat Khayrullin held a fruitful meeting with the Counselor for Economy and Trade of the Embassy of India in the Russian Federation Ramkumar Thangaraj. The parties discussed the possibilities of using Tatarstan digital solutions in India, as well as the participation of the Indian delegation as a partner at Kazan Digital Week. Prospects for further cooperation and exchange of experience were considered. The meeting with the Deputy Minister of Economy of the UAE Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh was of no less interest. Special attention was paid to issues of ensuring cybersecurity for international events, in particular, preparations for the Future Games in 2025 in the UAE. They identified the areas of joint work and developed a plan for further action.
A separate important part of the day was the meeting of the Deputy Minister of Digitalization of Tatarstan Bulat Gabdrakhmanov with a delegation of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Qatar. Together with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Oleg Korobchenko, they held a joint meeting with their Qatari colleagues. The foreign guests looked around the advanced Bashir Rameev IT Park, the ICL plant and got acquainted with the project of the IT Park resident - the Atom electric vehicle. During the talks, the parties discussed opportunities for developing joint projects, including participation in innovative initiatives, and expressed mutual interest in deepening economic ties.
The day ended with a meeting between Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ayrat Khayrullin and the Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia Zambry Abdul Kadir. The main topic of the dialogue was the use of innovative digital twins of the RTSIM company in engineering education - from schools to universities. The Malaysian colleagues expressed a high interest in Tatarstan technologies and proposed launching joint pilot projects. The Malaysian representatives also invited Tatarstan to take part in the Russia-Malaysia bilateral meeting on education issues, scheduled for autumn 2025. KazanForum-2025 once again confirmed the status of Tatarstan as a promising digital platform for international interaction. The meetings held and agreements reached laid a solid foundation for further business contacts and the implementation of mutually beneficial projects.
