Summing up meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization: achievements in 2024 and plans for 2025

On January 24, the Bashir Rameev IT-park hosted a summing up meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications with participation of Deputy Minister of Digital Development of Russia Dmitry Ugnivenko  taking part in a videoconference mode, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication Ayrat Khayrullin.

Ayrat Khayrullin made a keynote report on the results of the work of the information technologies and communications industry of Tatarstan in 2024 and the tasks for 2025.

• Gross revenue of the industry is growing, and according to the forecast to reach 225 million roubles by the end of 2024

• The number of mobile Internet users has reached 5 million, Tatarstan took first place among the regions of the Volga Federal District in this indicator

• More than 1,000 base stations have been installed and modernized

• 26 post offices have been repaired, for which more than 132 million roubles were allocated

• As part of the Clean Sky programme, 40.7 km of overhead communication lines have been “hidden” underground

• 1,000 video cameras have been installed under the Safe City programme

• The time for providing some public services in the Multifunctional Centre has been reduced by 500 days

• This year, a single super application, State Services 2.0, will be launched based on the Lokolo platform, which will include a new unique service, Gosconcierge, allowing you to submit applications for government services via video call

• Transfer of 95 per cent of jobs in government agencies and budgetary institutions to a domestic operating system (Astra Linux).

"Tatarstan is an attractive IT region in all directions" Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ayrat Khayrullin concluded his report. The Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov spoke about important decisions on the issues of:

reducing digital inequality in small settlements of the region, disseminating domestic solutions in the digital sphere, introducing elements of cybersecurity.

The Rais of Tatarstan emphasized that work on national and regional projects allows accelerating the implementation of IT solutions in life, thereby mentioning the modernized national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State", aimed at developing the economy based on data generated in digital systems - both business and government. The project became a continuation of the national project "Digital Economy" completed in 2024.

The meeting ended with the ceremony of handing in the state awards of the Russian Federation and Tatarstan to the most outstanding IT specialists.
