VK becomes the leader in mobile traffic volume among Tatarstan residents

The social network has increased its share in the structure of traffic of Tatarstan residents to 13%. The activity of Tatarstan residents in Telegram has also increased.

Since 2022, the messenger's share has doubled and today it amounts to about 10% of all consumption on the network, MegaFon Telecommunication operator noted in the study. According to data for August 2024, Tatarstan residents spend the most mobile Internet traffic among all services on VK (13%), compared to August 2022, its share in total consumption has increased by 2.5 percentage points. Telegram demonstrates even more dynamic growth: if in the summer 2022 the messenger occupied only 4.8% of the mobile Internet, now its share reaches 10%. This allowed Telegram to bypass TikTok in the fall of 2023 and rank second in traffic volume.
