The older generation of rural residents of Tatarstan begin to use the Internet more often

After analyzing anonymized customer data, MegaFon specialists report that in the regions of the republic, pensioners began to use 15% more Internet traffic over the year and the most active users live in a village in the Aznakaevo region. The operator's big data shows, in the summer 2024, older villagers downloaded an average of 8.4 GB per month. In total, they account for 12% of data traffic in villages. Women are especially willing to go online: they correspond in messengers and study social networks 23% longer than their male peers. If we talk about populated areas in terms of average monthly Internet traffic per subscriber over 60, Urazaevo in the Aznakaevsky region, Bolshie Yaki in Zelenodolsk and Zvanka in Pestrechinsky are ahead.
