Voting for connecting villages to the Internet starts

5 August 2024, Monday

Every Tatarstan citizen aged 18 and over can vote for one rural settlement that needs to be provided with quality mobile internet. The Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation continues its programme to eliminate digital inequality, due to which almost 5 thousand villages and rural settelements with a population between 100 and 500 people have been connected to mobile internet over the past four years. In total, the residents of the regions cast almost 2.5 million votes for those villages where the connection should appear as a priority. Voting dates are from August 5 to November 17, 2024.
