The acceptance of applications for deferred service of IT specialists in the Armed Forces starts

IT specialists can apply for a deferment from military service during the autumn draft using the State Services Portal. The application deadline is on August 6. The employer will have to check and confirm the data in their personal account, and then send it to the Ministry of Digital Development by August 11.

The company can also add employees to the deferment lists independently. The lists include specialists:

- citizens of Russia

- male

- from 18 to 30

- working under an employment contract, with normal working hours

- with higher education in a specialty from the list (https://gu-st.ru/content/mail/manual.pdf)

- worked in accredited IT companies for at least 11 months during the year preceding the start date of the draft.

The company should be accredited by August 11, 2024.

The work experience requirements do not apply to those who found a job within a year after graduating from a university.

The Ministry of Digital Development will transfer the information to the Ministry of Defense by August 31. The decision on the deferment will be made by the commission from October 1 to December 31.
