Kazan schoolchildren learn about cybersecurity of the present and future at the “Lesson of Digit”

On January 29, school 18 in Kazan hosted «Lesson of Digit» for the purposes of national project «Digital Economy of the Russian Federation». First Deputy Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications of Tatarstan Ilya Nachvin addressed the students with a greeting.

He informed the students about the digital transformation of Tatarstan and what it consists of, and also explained the concepts of artificial intelligence, the Internet of things. The expert of the lesson was pre-sales support engineer at the Volga Federal District of Kaspersky Lab Andrey Gruzinov. He presented a lesson on «Cybersecurity of the Future».

The children learned what the Internet of things is, how to secure a smart home, protect data on smartphones and counter a variety of cyber attacks, including those implemented using advanced technologies.

The organizers of the project are Russian Ministry of Digital Development, the Ministry of Education of Russia, Digital Economy non-profit organization, Kaspersky Lab in partnership with key Russian organizations in information technology. Since 2018, lessons have been organized more than 78 million times.
