Megafone speeds up the mobile internet in the capital of Tatarstan

Kazan residents began to consume more mobile traffic. MegaFon analysts calculated that in August 2023 data transfer volume increased by 41 per cent compared to the same period in 2022.

Since the beginning of the year, local residents and guests of the city, company subscribers, downloaded about 50,000 terabyte of information - this is 40 per cent of the total Internet traffic of the region. In response to the increased demand, the operator’s engineers modernized the existing telecommunications infrastructure and expanded the network coverage throughout the city. The work carried out helped to relieve some of the load from the existing base stations, increase the coverage, capacity and connection speed.
