A new scheme for stealing Telegram accounts distributed online

The user receives a message asking to support the child in the contest and referring to the voting. To count the vote, you need to confirm the phone number and authorization code.

In fact, this is the code for access to the account. On behalf of the hacked user, the fraudsters further send the same message to all contacts. At the same time, attackers set a cloud password and attach their mail to the stolen account.

The user loses access to it and can neither change the password nor block the account. According to cyber security experts of MTS Red, with the help of such a scheme have already stolen hundreds of accounts, and residents of the Volga Federal District are more likely to face phishing mailings.
