As many as 26 villages and rural areas of Tatarstan to receive high-speed Internet and communication

Tatarstan launched a federal programme to provide high-speed internet and mobile communication to small settlements of Russia.

Base stations of 2G and 4G standards will be installed in 26 rural settlements of Sabinsky, Arsky, Kamsk-Ustyinsky, Mamadyshsky, Aznakayevsky, Bavlinsky, Rybno-Slobodsky, Aktanyshsky, Kukmorsky, Alekseevsky, Vysokogorsky, Yelabuzhsky, Novosheshminsky, Zelenodolsky, Tukaevsky and Apastovsky region of the republic.

Rostelecom Telecommunication Company is the operator of the federal programme.

The programme runs until 2030. According to the results of voting, the Rostelecom conducted a survey to clarify the information on the radio coverage and formed a list of 26 villages and rural areas, where base stations will be installed firstly. In total, the first stage of the programme will include 61 settlements of the republic.
