Tattelecom Telecommunication Compamy built 2,600 km of optics, upgraded and installed over 280 base stations

In 2021, Tattelecom Telecommunication Company built 2,600 km of fibre-optic communication lines, including about 1,500 km – as part of the implementation of the national programme «Digital Economy of the Russian Federation» on connection of socially significant facilities.

About 1,100 km of fibre-optic lines were laid during the company’s current activities, primarily during the construction of GPON networks to provide high-speed Internet for the residents of small settlements, which has been actively carried out since 2020. For 2 years connection using GPON technology became available to more than 82,000 households in Tatarstan.

To provide residents with cellular communications and mobile Internet, the Tattelecom group of companies is developing the Fly mobile communications. In 2021, over 280 base stations were built and upgraded. The Tattelecom started to actively develop the 4G+ network, which allows you to transfer data at a speed of more than 200 Mbit/s.

The construction and modernization of base stations covered almost all cities and regions of Tatarstan. 

At the same time, 4G mobile Internet appeared for the first time in 55 settlements, in 18 of them there were no cellular connections.

The maximum amount of work was carried out in Kazan, covering 69 base stations, as well as in the Tukaevsky municipal region (23), Almetyevsk (18), Nizhnekamsk (12), Leninogorsk (10) and Arsk municipal region (10).
