The construction of the Rosatom project - the Data Processing Centre launched in Innopolis

On September 10, in the Innopolis Special Economic Zone, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ayrat Khayrullin took part in a solemn ceremony of the construction launch of the Data Processing Centre.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Aleksey Likhachev welcomed the ceremony participants via videoconference.

The Innopolis Data Processing Centre may become the largest data centre in the Volga Federal District. It is aimed at placing up to 500 - 1,000 racks of IT equipment in the first stage with the possibility of further expansion to 2,000 racks with a total capacity of 16 MW.

Construction will start in the second quarter of 2021 after the completion of a complex of design and survey works. The commissioning of the first stage of the Innopolis data center is scheduled for the second half of 2022.
