On June 9, the city of high technologies Innopolis celebrates its anniversary: the first Russian city for IT specialists was launched on this day five years ago.
In 2012, 40 kilometers from Kazan, a capsule with a message to its future residents was laid on the site of the future city. In 2014, the city officially appeared on the map of Russia. And on June 9, 2015, the grand opening of Innopolis took place.
There are 4,600 people in the city every day - these are residents, guests and employees of local companies. All the necessary life support facilities work for them (bank branches, supermarkets, restaurants, beauty salons, etc.), and rental and commercial housing are being actively built.
Innopolis is the youngest city in Russia and not only because it was founded in the 21st century: the average age of local residents does not exceed 30 years.
There are several educational institutions in the city: Innopolis School (329 students), IT boarding school (152 students) and Innopolis University.
The Innopolis Special Economic Zone is located in the city. The branches of Russian corporations (Sberbank, Yandex, MTS, X5 Retail Group, Magnit) and enterprises with foreign participation (Schneider Electric, IBM, Soramitsu Labs) successfully work here - a total of 97 residents, 18 partners and 39 startups. They created more than 3,400 jobs.
Residents of the city will celebrate their fifth anniversary in an unusual format: they will have a digital party # 5tayInnopolis. You can watch the celebration in real time on the website https://5tayinnopolis.ru.
The team of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization congratulates the city residents on a significant date and wishes them new successes!
