The Tatarstan Minister of informatization and communications Roman Shaikhutdinov: “We would like to invite Russian quantum center to Innopolis”

Tatarstan’s Deputy PM and Minister of informatization and communications Roman Shaikhutdinov presented the Innopolis project at the Day of quantum physics in Skolkovo organized by the Russian quantum center.

The federal high-tech project Innopolis is being realized in a picturesque place in Tatarstan, on the territory of 1200 hectares. “We are building an innovative city. Its mission is providing opportunities for economic growth via development of information technologies, social welfare and creation of highly intellectual society,” Roman Shaikhutdinov said.

According to the master plan developed by a Singapore company RSP Architect, 155 thousand people will live in Innopolis, including 60 thousand IT specialists.

Сarnegie Mellon University, the top university in Computer science, is developing a special educational program for Innopolis.

A special economic zone of technical and innovative type is being created for attracting future residents.

Roman Shaikhutdinov invited the Russian quantum center to participate in the project.

The Russian quantum center is an international research organization that deals with research in the sphere of quantum physics. The management board includes best physicists, Nobel prize winners, and businessmen investing in science.

Key areas of quantum technologies that will become a priority factor of technological development in future were discussed at the event.
