Free digital TV in DVB-T2 format launched at Shemordan TV center

On December 8 President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Director General Viktor Goreglyad launched digital TV broadcasting at Shemordan TV center.
Vice-premier and Minister of informatization and communications Roman Shaikhutdinov and Head of Sabinsky region Rais Minnikhanov participated in a solemn ceremony.
Tatarstan has become the first region in Russia to launch digital TV broadcasting in DVB-T2 format.
Work on installing radio receive and transmit equipment is being fulfilled at four powerful TV centers in Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Leninogorsk, and Bilyarsk, and three low-capacity retransmitters in Chistopol, Lenino and Egorievo. They are to be launched by the end of 2012. Thus, coverage of population with high-quality digital TV will make 70 percent.
The President was told about means of digital channel reception. Samples of equipment were also demonstrated to him.
Finally, Rustam Minnikhanov presented special devices for receiving digital TV broadcasting to veterans who had made considerable contribution to present-day achievements.

The Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov approved the decision of Tatarstan government to allocate 55.3 million roubles from the regional budget to support 2,300 employees of rural postal offices in 2026.
A new practice tool for preparing for the USE has been launched on the State Services Portal (Gosuslugi)l. It allows students to reinforce their knowledge and practice solving typical exam tasks.
Since September 2024, Tatarstan residents could receive rewards through the "People’s Inspector" app for reporting traffic violations. During this period, over 12,000 reports were submitted across seven paid categories, earning citizens a total of 5.6 million roubles. The top earner was a resident of the republic who submitted 226 reports and received 275,000 roubles. The second-highest earner earned 260,800 roubles for 209 reports.
