Final of International Olympiad “IT-planet” to be held in Kazan

The ceremony of opening All-Russia final of V International Olympiad in the sphere of IT for students of institutions of higher and secondary professional education “IT-planet 2011/12” will be held in IT-park on April 5.

The International Olympiad “IT-planet” has been held annually since 2007. Kazan will be the city to host finalists of this big event for the first time in 2012. About 100 students of institutions of higher and secondary professional education from across Russia who showed best results during selection stages will come to the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Olympiad is held under the auspices of RF Ministry of telecommunications, RF Ministry of sport, tourism and youth policy, RF Ministry of education and science, Executive office of plenipotentiary of RF President in Volga federal district, D-link, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, CISCO, 1C, Adobe Systems, Intel companies.

Winning in “IT-planet” gives students an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge in IT sphere and get acquainted with potential employers.

Vice RT Premier – Minister of informatization and communications Nikolai Nikiforov, chairman of organizing committee of the international student Olympiad IT-planet Sergei Shalashny, Director of GAU “High technology technopark “IT-park” Dinar Nasyrov will take part in the opening ceremony.
