Roman Shaikhutdinov: The digital economy is when the person can get all necessary services without getting out of the seat

On February 16, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov took part in the events of the Russian Investment Forum which is held these days in Sochi. Today, he is one of the speakers of the session “Digital economy: problems and prospects for regulation.

Roman Shaikhutdinov reported that digital economy development is hampered by the absence and a lack of required legislative framework. It can slow down the introduction and development of digital technologies such as blockchain, cryptocurrency, drones, telemedicine and others.

The speaker noted that one of the promising areas is the use of large data accumulated in the government sector. "Today, the information of federal authorities is contained in different systems that “are not friends". I would like to draw the attention of colleagues who are involved in norm-setting, that it is necessary not only to build a regulatory sandbox, but also to use wisely what has already been achieved over the decades," concluded the Minister of Informatization of Tatarstan.
