Managing Director of Luxemburg fund «Mangrove Capital Partners» David Waroquier believes that The Republic of Tatarstan is a prospective and attractive region for investments. He announced this at an open lecture “Principles of investing into start-ups. The history of investment into Skype and KupiVip” which took place in technopark in the sphere of high technologies “IT-park”. In the lecture took part representatives of IT-park and Business incubator resident companies. According to David Waroquier such meetings favor closer acquaintance with regional entrepreneurs and make it possible to recognize the needs of a customer in one region or another.

Reception of bids for the third contest selection of startups for location in Business incubator of IT-park has started. The bids will be accepted till July 20 2011 and should include presentation and business plan. One may see requirements and make a bid on web-site of Business incubator.

The second contest selection of start-up projects for location in Business incubator was held the day before. 20 young IT companies which presented their projects to the expert group took part in the contest.

Applications have been received since the beginning of May. Now 20 young IT companies that will present their projects to expert commission claim for location in IT-park.

Director of GAU “Technopark in the sphere of high technologies “IT-park” Dinar Nasyrov presented IT-park for guests. He told about the structure of IT-park, residents and projects being realized there.

A three-day working session of IT-projects “Startup Weekend” starts today in Innovative technopark “Idea”. Startup Weekend is one of events dedicated to development of business projects by young entrepreneurs. It will last for three days and will be a preliminary stage of selecting projects for placement in recently opened Business incubator of technopark in the sphere of high technologies “IT-park”. The best projects will receive invitation for expert selection held in June 2011
