On October 16, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic- Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communication Roman Shaykhutdinov said that since the beginning of the current year, a number of new e-services appeared on the Portal of State Services of Tatarstan, in particular, payment of fines for parking in the green zone, payment of funds for self-taxation, receipt of a certificate of the amount of pension, archival information and others.

On October 16, speaking at a meeting, Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communication Roman Shaykhutdinov said that during nine month of the current year, Tatarstan citizens received over 133 million e-services, which is 72 per cent more as compared to the same period last year.

On October 11, during the E-Commerce 2018 conference, the Russian Post and the Swedish chain of furniture and household goods IKEA signed a memorandum of intent in the field of delivery of goods in Russia.

Director General of the Russian Post Nikolay Podguzov and Director General of the IKEA Retail Chain in Russia Pontus Erntell signed the document.

For nine month of the current year, People's Control service, which helps to solve issues in the area of improvement and quality of service of the population, received about 48,000 applications from involved Tatarstan citizens. Over 35,000 applications have already been solved, more than 8 thousand are planned for implementation in the near future and another 2,000 are in operation. A motivated refusal was the decision for over 2.600 appeals. This decision is given, for example, in the absence of legal reasons for solving the issue in the application.

On October 9, World Post Day is celebrated annually.  The holiday is included in the United Nations system of world and international days.

MTS telecommunication company informed that the construction of the first network for services and devices of the Internet of things in the LTE standard based on NB-IoT (Narrow Band IoT) finished in Tatarstan. The NB-IoT network is launched in Kazan, Innopolis, Arsk, Almetyevsk.

On October 8, at Tatarstan-Japan Forum, held in the city of Kanazawa, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic - Minister of Informatization and Communication Roman Shaykhutdinov introduced the innovative and technological potential of the republic to Japanese business circles. The Minister informed about the developing IT infrastructure of the region, including Innopolis, the IT park and the main regional information systems, many of which are actively used not only in Russia, but also abroad.

Accepting applications for an open IT hackathon in the banking sector started in Tatarstan.

According to the preliminary results of the first nine months of 2018, the Russian Post of Russia handled 258.9 million international postal items mail with supplies inclusions, which is 25 per cent higher than the same period last year.

On October 8, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communication Roman Shaykhutdinov, as a member of Tatarstan delegation led by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, arrived on a working visit in Japan, to take part in the 15th Annual Meeting of the International Science and Technology in Society Forum (STS-Forum).

Shaykhutdinov took part in the Sustainable Development and Lights and Shadows of Science and Technology plenary sessions.
