The International competitions in robotics - World Robot Olympiad 2018 - finished in Thailand this weekend. As many as 48 children from Russia, including 11 from Tatarstan, took part in it. They represented the Lyceum of Innopolis, the Naberezhnye Chelny Centre for Children's Technical Creativity and the Laboratory of Robotics and Industrial Design from Kazan. The University of Innopolis trained the Russian participants for the world championship.
On November 16-18, as many as 486 teams from 60 countries competed for medals in the “Primary”, “Creative”, “Student” categories and in the “Football of Robots”. According to the results of the competition, the Russians won 3 medals in the "Creative" category in all age groups. The team from Kazan took the first place in the middle age group with the project of a network of robotic logistics centers “Careful Logistics”. Daniel Tregubov, Bulat Trofimov and Eduard Salavatov are the winners from Kazan, who introduce the Robot Land laboratory of robotics and industrial design.
Danis Valiullin and Ivan Proskuryakov from Kazan, who also represented the Robot Land won the third place in the younger age group with the project of the robotic machine for growing vegetables -Vegetarium.
