On October 14, Tatarstan switched from analogue to digital broadcasting. Over 1.3 million households in the republic got the opportunity to watch 20 channels in digital quality for free.

Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Airat Khairullin, Deputy Minister of the Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Russia Alexey Volin and other officials took part in the ceremony of the transition to digital TV, held in Kazan.

On October 14, Tatarstan will switch to digital broadcasting. Over 1.3 million households in the republic will watch 20 channels in digital quality for free. The ceremony of switching to digital broadcasting will be held at a television tower, which has recently celebrated its 60th anniversary, in Kazan. Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Airat Khayrullin, Deputy Minister of the Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Russia Alexey Volin and other officials will take part in the ceremony.

Tatarstan software developers can apply for a subsidy from the federal budget until October 16. The subsidy is allocated for the creation and (or) the development of the manufacture of high-tech industrial products according to the Rules № 529 approved by the Government of the Russian Federation on April 30.

On October 2, the largest international event dedicated to digital transformation and the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies and the Internet of things in the work of companies from various sectors of the economy was held in the capital of Tatarstan.

Speaking at the World Digital Summit on the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence, held in Kazan on October 1-2, 2019, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization, Information Technologies and Communications Airat Khairullin said that testing of PeoplePass e-registration system for visitors to be held at the Ministry.

Innopolis University has completed the selection of robotics who will represent our country at the World Robot Olympiad in Hungary in November. Russian participants will compete for medals in all four categories: "Basic", "Advanced", "Robot Football" and "Creative".

Russian IT university held federal training camps, where 36 teams from 11 regions competed, including winners, medalists and participants of the finals of the 2019 All-Russian Robotics Olympiad and WROFIT-2019. 

On October 12-13, the largest regional IT conference "Stachka. Innopolis" will be held in the first Russian city for IT specialists – Innopolis.

On September 29, the results of the school hackathon, held during the finals of the All-Russian Digital Breakthrough contest were summed up at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre. As many as 500 students of grades 8-11, interested in programming, from different schools of Tatarstan took part in it. As many as 14 teams became winners.

On September 28, in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications of the republic Airat Khairullin and about 3,000 volunteers took part in a large-scale flashmob dedicated to the final stage of the country's transition to the "digit".
