May, 5. Veterans of communications sphere were honored at RT Ministry of info and communications. Traditionally meetings with veterans are held at the ministry yearly on the threshold of Radio day and Victory day.
It is known that operators played an important role in coordination of military actions during Great Patriotic War. That time information about victories of Soviet army reached people via releases of Soviet information bureau.
Deputy Prime Minister – RT Minister of info and communications Nikolai Nikiforov addressed veterans with words of gratitude for their labor and warm wishes. He noted that today competence and professionalism of people working in communications sector favor dynamic development of Russian and Tatarstan economy.
Students at Gymnasium No. 75 in Kazan took part in an educational session under the "Digital Literacy" project, focusing on topics such as "Pet Protection in the Digital World" and "Harmful tips on Digital Security", which is implemented in support of the national project “Data Economy”.
Tatarstan residents have increased their phone communication by one-third. According to MegaFon, in March 2025, the average person talked on the phone for 4 hours and 49 minutes per month. This year, the average call time has risen to 6 hours and 20 minutes.
