22 December 2025, Monday

At a weekly meeting, communication industry companies, subordinate organizations and heads of departments of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications discussed key achievements in the communication industry and digital development in 2025.

• 408 new and 674 upgraded base stations—mobile internet is now available in 159 sparsely populated areas;

• The number of high-speed internet subscribers has grown to 1.33 million—almost 150,000 new users in a year. 67,000 households now have GPON connections—access to the speed of the future;

• More than 525,000 residents of Tatarstan have activated the "self-ban" on loans. The SIM card verification service on the “State Services Portal" website has been used 15,000+ times;

• 30 new post offices opened in 2025, increasing to 150 by 2026. Subsidies totaling 45.2 million roubles helped rural postal workers serve residents more efficiently;

All of this is part of a unified strategy: eliminating digital inequality, creating a safe digital environment and making technology accessible to every resident.
