New city Innopolis opens in Tatarstan

On June 9, a new city Innopolis that was built 40 kilometers away from Kazan is opening today. Innopolis economy will be based on high technology industries, and the main purpose is to give highly skilled specialists the opportunity to realize their potential in Russia, by creating high quality products and services. Chairman of Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev, who laid the capsule with the message addressed to future residents of the city in 2012, was invited to the opening ceremony.
Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolay Nikiforov, Russian Minister of Education and Science Dmitry Livanov, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov, Mayor of Innopolis city Egor Ivanov, Director General of SEZ “Innopolis” Igor Nosov, and rector of Innopolis University Aleksandr Tormasov will take part in the opening ceremony.

The International Competence Centre – the Kazan Technical College of Information Technologies and Communications invites graduates, their parents and all interested individuals to the Open Day event.

The Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov approved the decision of Tatarstan government to allocate 55.3 million roubles from the regional budget to support 2,300 employees of rural postal offices in 2026.
A new practice tool for preparing for the USE has been launched on the State Services Portal (Gosuslugi)l. It allows students to reinforce their knowledge and practice solving typical exam tasks.
Since September 2024, Tatarstan residents could receive rewards through the "People’s Inspector" app for reporting traffic violations. During this period, over 12,000 reports were submitted across seven paid categories, earning citizens a total of 5.6 million roubles. The top earner was a resident of the republic who submitted 226 reports and received 275,000 roubles. The second-highest earner earned 260,800 roubles for 209 reports.
