On January 13, speaking at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Deputy Minister of Information and Communication of the republic Timur Zaripov said that a total of 69 per cent of complaints filed with the state information system Public Control were given the Complaint Resolved status in 2014.
According to Zaripov, a total of 21,500 notifications were published the year before with 15,900 being forwarded for processing. A total of 14,800 complaints were resolved. Among the ministries received over 500 notifications, Tatarstan Ecology Ministry that resolved 89.5 per cent was the leader, followed by State Housing Inspectorate with 88.8 per cent and Construction Ministry with 74.8 per cent.
Having solved 86.84 per cent of the complaints, Zainsk Region ranks first among the municipalities that received 50 to 500 reports, followed by Bavly municipal region and Leninogorsk municipal region.
Tatarstan Ministry of Communication issued the most of reasoned refusals - 25.4 percent. The Deputy Minister explained such high percentage was caused by the fact that most complaints were about the quality of communication services. “To resolve them, investments from telecommunication companies, cellular operators and others are needed to build new base stations, which last year were found to be unfeasible by management of these companies under current economic situation,” Timur Zaripov said.
According to Commissioner for Human Rights in Tatarstan Saria Saburskaya, who took part in the meeting, most complaints filed last year were about land improvements ( 9,200), traffic management (6,400) and housing and utilities (1,900).
