Roman Shaikhutdinov opens IV round of All-Russia contest of breakthrough projects “IT breakthrough”

Tatarstan Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov announced the start of IV round of All-Russia contest of breakthrough projects “IT breakthrough” aimed at development of intellectual potential and competitiveness in the sphere of information technologies. The solemn ceremony was held at Kazan Federal University.
“IT industry is one of economic growth points in Tatarstan. Our task is to increase the share of information technologies from 3.19 to 5 per cent by 2018,” Roman Shaikhutdinov said.
The Minister told about cluster approach in IT development, IT lyceum, IT parks, first federal IT university and city “Innopolis”.
Digital Transformation Centre of Tatarstan reported that in 2025, Tatarstan completed a digital infrastructure upgrade, which affected server capacity, government employee workplaces, email services and video surveillance.
On November 27, "Technopark in the sphere of high technologies "IT Park" and Globus IT, a leading Russian integrator, signed a strategic agreement to establish a joint laboratory for training IT specialists, focused on building project teams for specific business needs. Director of "IT Park" Ruslan Vlasov and CEO of Globus IT Pavel Korotkiy with the support of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization, represented by Deputy Minister of Digitalization of the republic Bulat Gabdrakhmanov signed the document, which lays the foundation for a fundamentally new approach to technology education.
