MTS increased 4G network coverage territory twice

OAO “Mobile TeleSystems” (MTS) informed about results of LTE network development in the first half of 2014. The number of 4G base stations has increased twice since it was launched.
By results of the first half of 2014, MTS increased 4G network coverage territory in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, and Nizhnekamsk. In the second quarter total amount of traffic in Tatarstan increased three times.
Active development of 4G network influences rise of popularity of devices with LTE support. Thus, the highest demand for LTE devices, smartphones, tablets, modems and routers in Volga region is in Tatarstan.
On December 29, the weekly meeting of the digital industry of Tatarstan discusses the key achievements of the republic in the IT sector for 2025:
• Gross industry revenue—269 billion roubles (forecast, +35% year-on-year);
On December 22, at the final meeting of Interdepartmental working group No. 15 for the implementation of the national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State", Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvin welcomed the participants and summed up the work of the group for 2025 and presented impressive indicators for the development of the digital economy of Tatarstan.
At a weekly meeting, communication industry companies, subordinate organizations and heads of departments of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications discussed key achievements in the communication industry and digital development in 2025.
On December 11, Moscow hosted this year's important IT events: the awards ceremony for the winners of the "Sprint to the Future - Code of Success!" award and the Sprint 2.0 Accelerator Demo Day.
