Analog TV broadcasting will be continued in Russia till 2019

Deputy Director General of Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Russian television and radio broadcasting network” for state programmes and capital construction management Boris Terebilenko told journalists that analog TV broadcasting will be continued in Russia till 2019.
He said that the Russian President’s order implies the use of analog television for three years from 2015 to 2018. Boris Terebilenko also informed participants of the meeting about federal grant programme to finance parallel broadcasting that was developed by the “Russian television and radio broadcasting network”.
On March 19, the solemn opening of the situational center “Smart City – Nizhnekamsk” with participation of Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvin, People’s Deputy of the State Duma Aydar Metshin and Head of Nizhnekamsk region Radmir Belyaev took place.
During the working visit to China, Tatarstan delegation led by the Rais (Head) of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Deputy Minister of Digitalization Bulat Gabdrakhmanov visited the city of Hefei in Anhui Province.
On March 18, the capital of Tatarstan hosted the professional skills competition "Best in Profession" among engineering and technical staff of the "Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network", which is being held for the first time in the Volga Federal District, involving 14 company branches.
On March 18, Deputy Minister of Digitalization of Tatarstan Albert Yakovlev participated in a press conference, where he informed about the methods scammers use to deceive citizens and how to protect oneself from them.
Due to joint efforts with federal authorities and the implementation of modern technologies in the republic, the number of scam calls is decreasing. In the first two months of 2026, scammers stole 25% less money than at the beginning of last year. A key role in enhancing digital security has been played by the mass call labeling system. This tool allows for quick identification of potential scammers and spam calls. 92% of surveyed citizens appreciated this innovation.
