Speaking at the weekly meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization, Director of the Rostelecom branch in Tatarstan Pavel Gontsov said that on September 20, 2026, Unified Voting Day, a video surveillance system will be organized at 1,000 polling stations across Tatarstan with 2,000 cameras installed.
The meeting also reviewed the company's performance for the first half of 2026. Key projects include:
School security. Over 3,500 new cameras were installed in 202 schools. Across the republic, the company maintains 7,000 devices. This has enhanced security monitoring and enabled the replacement of outdated equipment (cameras, recorders, monitors) in accordance with the recommendations of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan. Additionally, local video surveillance has been migrated to cloud storage.
Communication jamming systems for the Unified State Exam (USE). A specialized equipment network was deployed within 8 days. 258 sets of equipment across 86 sites ensured complete blocking of wireless signals during the exams.
Communication redundancy in Innopolis. The company's specialists laid 8.5 km of fiber-optic lines and achieved 100% redundancy of communication channels.
Bridging the digital divide. The company has connected 4G/LTE base stations in 274 localities across the republic. Survey work in villages and rural areas is ongoing.
