Speaking at the weekly meeting at Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization, Head of the management of Tatarstan Post Ilnur Makhmutov said that in 2025, employees of the federal postal service management "Tatarstan Post" delivered 55 million letters and 16 million newspapers.
"Tatarstan Post" is a branch of Russian Post, employing 6,200 residents of Tatarstan. The republic operates over 1,100 postal facilities, with 872 located in rural areas. In 2025, the management was nominated for the "Team of the Year" award by Russian Post.
Main areas of activity:
Postal and social services: Delivery of letters and bills—55 million letters, 16 million printed editions and 263,000 pensions.
Logistics services: Delivery of 1 million parcels and 14 million requests for warehousing services.
Commercial freight transportation: "Tatarstan Post" carries out domestic charter flights across Russia and international air shipments from Asia. Each month, 22 aircraft land at Kazan Airport, with up to 8 aircraft at Begishevo Airport (Nizhnekamsk). Since May 2025, 28 charter flights have been operated on the Zhengzhou–Begishevo route.
Since November 2025, a regular rail service has been operating from the Chinese city of Hunchun to Bely Rast in the Moscow region. In 2026, a new train is planned to be launched from Hunchun to the "One Belt and One Road" terminal in the Tukaevsky region of Tatarstan. The journey will take approximately 13 days.
Ozon project: In October 2025, the Kazan logistics center of "Russian Post" started accepting and processing OZON shipments with delivery to distribution centers. Marketplace parcels are shipped to Kazan, Zelenodolsk, Moscow, the Moscow region, Ufa and Samara. Over 735,000 parcels arrive daily at the Kazan logistics center. The project has created 400 jobs in rural areas, with plans to add another 400 positions in 2026.
