A new large-scale robotics tournament for children "ROBOKAZAN" to take place in Kazan

4 April 2026, Saturday

On May 7, on the Radio and Communications Day, the Bashir Rameev IT Park will host the Open Tournament of Tatarstan in Robotics and Technological Entrepreneurship "ROBOKAZAN." We invite all children aged 6 to 18 and their parents to this grand technology celebration!
Registration opens on April 8!

In an era of rapid technological advancement, mastering robot creation and programming, developing digital solutions and proposing innovative ideas are becoming especially important for future success. The "ROBOKAZAN" festival offers children a unique opportunity to showcase their talents and take their first steps in tech entrepreneurship. The event is expected to gather over 600 young participants and approximately 1,500 visitors.

Speaking at the festival opening "Acrobot", Deputy Minister of Digitalization of Tatarstan Bulat Gabdrahmanov announced the start of preparations for the grand "ROBOKAZAN" festival and invited every young genius to join the tournament!

The programme includes six exciting tracks:

1. Sports Robotics — the most spectacular part of the festival, where robots will compete in speed and precision in completing complex tasks. The track is divided into three age categories:

Junior Roboticist (7-13 years): Participants will try their hand at engaging disciplines such as:

"Mission Impossible" — teams assemble a robot from a standard electronics kit within a limited time.

"Batur Multitrial" — testing robot versatility like Tatar battlers during Sabantuy.

"Kegelring Quad" — where an autonomous robot must push white pins without touching black ones.

"Controlled Robots Soccer" — exiting matches with teams of four robots.

Middle Roboticist (12-17 years): Includes "Arduino Practice" — a practical robotics olympiad; "Future Engineers" — a competition where teams repair a pipeline section using high-tech equipment; and a more complex version of "Mission Impossible."

2. Modern Satellite Technologies (14-18 years): A hackathon where teams develop prototypes of nanosatellites in the CubeSat format — from initial concept to assembly and testing in conditions simulating outer space.

3. Technological Entrepreneurship in Robotics:

Startup Presentation: Participants present ready-made tech projects and exchange experience in robotics, IT and AI.

WeDo Startup Contest: Kids develop their first tech project using the WeDo constructor and present it to the jury.

Young Inventor: Talented children create WeDo 2.0 robots — helper robots with programmable functions.

4. Digital IT Startups:

Immersion in Digital: Creating digital greeting cards, animations, 3D visualizations using Tinkercad, Canva and Scratch, along with participation in a game development master class.

Constructor Work: Developing chatbots, applications, and intelligent services using Python and App Inventor.

Coding: Creating full-fledged IT solutions — from chatbots to web/mobile apps and AI services with business models in Python, JavaScript and TensorFlow.

5. AI Hackathon — Exploring Artificial Intelligence:

AI Beginner: Kids undergo an intensive AI course, solve team-based problems and present projects to the jury.

AI Researcher: For participants familiar with Python or JavaScript. They will solve real-world tasks and conduct pitch sessions before experts.

6. Future Technologies — Team Workshop:
Students will brainstorm and develop technological solutions for various industries: security, media, tourism, IT, transportation, sports, social sectors, culture and education.

In addition to the competitive programьу, visitors will enjoy unique activities in celebration of Radio and Communications Day: an exhibit of vintage radio receivers, demonstrations of military communication equipment, interactions with a humanoid robot, Morse code masterclasses, a retro car exhibition, army field kitchen and much more.
